If you look closely at the banner across the top of the page you may notice that there is a new link to scheduling. This may appear to be a small change, but it took some time to facilitate. Nearly 100 site pages had to be modified. Please take the time to review all pages to make certain all is functioning properly. If you encounter problems, please let me know at the email address accompanying my name at the bottom of this page. Thank you. ~Jerry Haberer~ |
The Let's Go Fishing Walkathon was a huge success. We had a great turnout, cool temperatures, a 'cool' breeze and sunny skies.Participants had the option to walk either 2 miles or 4 miles, using the trail from City Park on Lake Henry, around Lake Agnes, past Big Ole and on the trail from the Depot to Alexandria Extrusion. Lori from the Home Office in Willmar took loads of photos. She did a good job, don't you think? Thank you, all participants and volunteers. |
Remember what we went through last year, trying to get a simple form submission to work on everyone's computer? Even some experts at Microsoft could not get their arms around what was happening. Why were some able to send forms successfully to the LGF Alex Scheduler, while others had no success at all. Well, I was not going to give up.As of March 13, we now have two forms that work like a charm. So, when the 2011 season gets underway, folks wishing to schedule trips will be able to do so without having to use the telephone. Volunteers, too, will be able to view the schedule calendar and post form submissions with individual preferences. This system works because submissions are processed at the site server level. When a form is processed successfully a notice will appear on the computer screen of the person sumitting the form. This indicates that the information on the form was sent directly to the scheduler. Don't ya just love it when a plan comes together? ~Jerry Haberer~ |
